How often do you hear the words “your too nice”.

I guess you could consider being “too nice” a complement. It always feels good to be recognized for your kindness. If you asked a person why they are so generous most people would say “It makes me feel good”. Feeling good about helping others can be powerful. You feel warm inside, like your getting a hug from your inner self. It’s self appreciation day! Keep doing what your doing…
When is Your Kindness is Too Much

There are times when your kindness could be inadvertently taking away ones independence. Sometimes doing too much can cause a person to become more lenient on you. Leaving them vulnerable and desperate to keep you close. Some people would say that individual is taking advantage of you. However it may just be due to there lack of confidence, illness or disability.. Life is easier when someone else managing your life skills. This is very common with caregivers. Its important to recognize when a loved one begins to heal. Suggest they try simple tasks you know they can handle. Give them the opportunity to recognize their abilities rather than their disability.
Are you Taking Advantage of my Kindness?

There are times when you may feel as though someone is taking advantage of you. If you ever feel frustrated or overwhelmed, you may be right! When this occurs it’s a good idea to set boundaries. Limit what you can offer. It sounds a little harsh but it’s ok to say no at times. If they truly appreciate you, they will understand. Never stop caring just be aware of your limits.
