Part One – Day Three of My Daily Journal
Todays going to be a great day. I’m not sure why but I have an energy inside me just waiting to electrify the day. Where is this feeling coming from. The past few mornings I refused to get out of bed until I planned my day in my head first. This morning I have a full day planned and I’m anxious to get started.
As soon as I opened my eyes my thinking cap was already in motion. If you read my last blog Day 2 of my Daily Journal you probably already know a few things on my agenda for today. My laundry was still waiting for a good washing and those lemon bars are sure to leave a sweet and sour note on my taste buds.
I had a few other daily tasks to add. It will take a lot more than 2 things on my list to get through the day. Any one who lives with a chronic illness or struggles with mental health can relate to a long endless day. If this sounds like you it may be a good time to try my “Seven Day Challenge“. Ok “enough with the plug ins”. I just want to make sure you take every opportunity to start your day on a positive note.
It didn’t take long for me to think of things to add to my daily Goals. I have a housekeeper once a week and that means no chores for me today. My only chore is the dreadful laundry waiting for me in the corner. As my mother would say “The laundry won’t wash itself”. Laundry is a personal chore and I prefer to wash them myself.
Today I decided to take a “Me Day!” but I will still bake my delicious lemon bars. A me day is all about pampering myself. It’s a great way to remind yourself that you matter and life can be enjoyable in the comfort of your own home.
I think I’ll start by reading some of your blogs as I sip on my morning coffee. It’s interesting to see the variety of talents and lifestyles. If you have a great recipe please feel free to share. I also love reading all about NFL Football, “Go Pittsburg”. Maybe next year! It sounds like a great start for the morning.

My friend bought me a dart board and it’s been a while since I challenged Brittany to a game. In the beginning all I could hit was the wall and the floor. We had to add some padding so I don’t design the wall with holes. My son gave me some great tips and now I’m almost ready to join a league. “Ok maybe that’s a stretch” but I can beat my daughter Brittany.

I’m definitely up for a good movie but lately I can’t find one that interests me. I may just channel surf and watch You Tube Shorts. I hate to admit it but politics have been pretty interesting these days. I hated Geography and History in school but now I really wish I paid attention in class. As a Canadian, now is the time I need to step up and help build Canada back up. I have a you tube channel called Master Sweets but it’s a very lengthy task and I applaud anyone who can be consistent.
One thing I can’t avoid is dinner but that’s ok because I love cooking. There’s some left over steak and I plan on making some steak subs with a garlic Aioli. “Sounds yummy to me”. My daughter has false teeth so the steak has to be very tender for her to chew it. I have a new grilling pan and the steaks cook perfectly now.
All that thinking has got me wanting to get started with my day. I can’t wait to share how my day went. As part of my Seven Day Challenge ,I promised myself that I will do two blogs in one day to make up for the missing day. Please join me for part two and find out how my me day turned out.
Let me know in the comments if you are taking the Seven Day Challenge.
“Care to share, I will be there”!
