My Daily Journal Day Four

Surprise you have a visitor

Are you ready for another day. I know I am. Today Brittany has her nurse so I can have a little respite care. I love days when you can come and go as you please, sleep all day if you choose, or blog all day. Today I didn’t need to plan out my day. I was more than happy to let the day play out.

As much as I thought about going out, today was not going to happen. All my friends and family work through the week. Sometimes I manage to go shopping with my daughter or have lunch with my sister but today I was happy to have a calm day with no stress at home. I guess you could call it another me day.

After my morning coffee I gathered all my clothes and hopped in the shower. I found some cool lavender shower bombs that I got from Christmas. I thought this time I am going to enjoy a nice long shower. During my shower I started thinking about what my day was going to bring. I knew I had 2 blogs to catch up on as part of my daily challenge so it was a no brainer for me. After my shower I wrote a two part blog for Day Three of my daily journal. Day three was full of unknowns and surprises.

Finally I shut my laptop and decided to make a small snack. The oven clock read 11:00 am. I was taken back for a moment, it felt like I was blogging for an hour but here we are two hours later. I still had several hours to do whatever I want. I sat down in front of the tv, eating my last brownie from the night before. Netflix had new releases and I came across one that got my attention. It was a Drama series called Safe and it looked interesting enough to check out. To be honest I really just wanted to take a small cat nap. I knew if I watched it now I would likely fall asleep. After my brownie I decided to rest my eyes for a bit. Brittany and her nurse were on a walk and the house was nice and quiet.

When I woke up from my nap, my stomach was making sounds from the exorcist movie. There was no denying it, I was hungry. Brittany mentioned buying us both a shawarma and they are my weakness. It was 3:00 in afternoon and I was well rested. I sat down to watch the series “Safe” and gobbled down my sand which.

During the movie I received a call from my daughter Mallory. Her son was out for the weekend so she was stopping by. It was exciting news and I still had lots of time to watch the movie. The movie is over and I would give it a rating of 7 out of 10. It had a great twist at the end so I gave it a higher rating.

Once the movie was over I started to tidy up quickly before my daughter arrived. The nurse was gone and Brittany was at her uncles playing scrabble or Yahtzee . My brother Kenny takes her up to his apartment to get her out of the house twice a day. We live in the same building which is great for me. I’m very grateful to have a big brother that helps her any way he can. Sometimes Mr. Feenie my cat will join them but today he waited too long and they left him at home. Shortly after poor Mr. Feenie sat at the door looking so confused.

I had a wonderful night with my daughter as we always do and ended the night with a cozy warm feeling. A great day.!Tomorrow I have the nurse again. She was on vacation and making up for lost days.

I look forward to sharing my outdoor adventure with my daughter tomorrow on Day 5 of my Seven Day Challenge. I’m suppose to go shopping to find my sister a Birthday Gift. My sister Sandy is always taking me to get my groceries and helps out financially if I ever need it. I am so lucky to have such a supportive family. Two of my brothers as well as my mother are no longer with us but I know they would be just as supportive and I think of them always.

Well that’s the end of my day 4 Journal. My Seven day challenge is a successful one so far.

Thank you for taking an interest in my day. Your views and likes inspire me to want to continue sharing.
